Key Fights – Week of July 4

July 4, 2011 Leave a comment

Hope everybody has had a lovely July 4th, no matter where you might be.  Perhaps you had a cookout with friends and family, or perhaps you’re in another country and completely indifferent to American customs.  Either way, I hope all enjoyed their day!

The biggest televised fights in the U.S. will be Friday’s M-1 Challenge 26.  No huge names will be featured on the event, though the heavyweight contest between Kenny Garner and Pat Bennett should be a good one.  Former UFC middleweight Maiquel Falcao and top ranked featherweight Masanori Kanehara will be in action as well.

The best card of the week is easily Jewels’ Fifteenth Ring event, which will unfortunately not be streaming.  This is according to Roxanne Modafferi, who will be in action and was nice enough to fill me in about the lack of a stream on Twitter.  I advise all interested parties to arrange their Japanese travel plans immediately.
