Key Fights – Week of July 25

IT’S HAPPENING!!  IT’S REALLY HAPPENING!!

In just five days, I will be in attendance for one of the biggest events in Strikeforce history!  It doesn’t get any bigger than Fedor vs. Henderson in regards to name value, and even though both fighters might be past their primes, this should still be a thrilling contest.  I’m all antsy in my pantsy to see how this one turns out!

But wait!  There’s more!  Marloes Coenen looks to defend her Strikeforce 135 pound Women’s Title against Miesha Tate.  Paul Daley will look to rebound from his loss to Nick Diaz when he takes on the dangerous wrestler Tyron Woodley.  Ranked middleweights Robbie Lawler and Tim Kennedy will square off, while Alexis Davis and Julie Kedzie should put on a very competitive fight.  This card is going to be massive!

There’s not much else in MMA this week, though Titan Fighting is putting on a show this Friday night that features Tonya Evinger and Sara McMann in another 135 pound women’s contest.  Frankly, I’m too excited for Strikeforce to worry about any other MMA.  It has yet to sink in that this is less than a week away and I’ll spend the rest of this week experiencing crippling amounts of anticipation.
